VGIFK Students
January 22, 2012 No CommentsIn 1990, these students were 12% (of total) in 1998 – 20%, 2003 – 23% (25% in natural and technical colleges). Why is this happening? First, consider sociologists, due to the introduction of tuition fees at the prestigious departments (children from poor families are forced to go "at random") secondly – because of the decline in the quality of entrants' knowledge. Go to college, young people choose the future social status rather than a profession. Less than half of students think the main purpose of the stay in the institution receiving maximum of knowledge in their specialty. This tendency is most characteristic of students of the natural faculties (54%), the lowest figure – a "techie" (35%). Every tenth student to work in the specialty is not going to.
One-fifth of the students remained dissatisfied with the choice made, and after meeting with the profession through training. The boys find low pay professionals for your profile (40%), lack of demand for the labor market (19%) and even the low quality of training in their institution (12%). Get a second degree seeking students 46% (typical: in such VSPU – 72% in VGIFK – 60%). On the one hand, nothing wrong: they want to enhance their competitiveness in labor market. On the other – the quality of both entities is often low. There is a failure of professional behavior – the manager with two "like" diploma works as manager of sredneprofessionalnym education. "Collecting" diplomas threatens to become the norm. As a result, many students are not motivated to study hard.
